Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! We specialize in native plant landscapes rooted in ecological design. That means no ornamental filler or lawn-and-mulch combos here, just thoughtful plantings that support local ecosystems and thrive over time.

  • Absolutely! If you already have non-natives in your garden and want to bring us in for seasonal maintenance or you want to keep them in your landscape design, that’s totally fine. We just don’t add more non-natives if we can help it.

  • Nope. We’re not a traditional landscaping company. Our work focuses on landscape design projects and gardens that aim to replace as much of your lawn as possible.

  • Definitely NOT. We don’t expect anyone to completely get rid of their lawns, especially with pets or a family. We just want your lawn to be a bit more intentional (and hopefully made up of a more native-friendly option).

  • Timelines vary depending on scope and season, but there is typically a delay between the initial phases of your project (consultation, analysis,  design, and project installation). Once excavation and installation begin, most projects take between a few days to install to a couple of months depending on weather conditions. We typically book out several months in advance

  • Yes! We offer seasonal garden care for many of our design clients, and can provide a maintenance plan even if you're doing most of the work yourself.
